Review By: Nashville/Ottawa Fan
It’s been a few years since I’ve seen and heard Trevor Finlay, but I swear when that boy moved to Nashville he discovered the fountain of youth! The room at Tucson’s in Ottawa is almost too small to contain the boundless energy and talent of Trevor Finlay. He started and ended on a high note as he played song after song, effortlessly sliding from one style to the next. His voice is in great shape and having a talented female back-up singer (Jennifer Friend) certainly rounded out the show.
We picked up the new CD, Trevor Finlay Bootleg, recorded live at Norm’s River Roadhouse in Nashville, March 2010. It is so great to hear someone that can create original, refreshing, and powerful songs again.
I hope I don’t have to wait another couple of years to catch a Trevor Finlay show!
